Who We Are
ACM Fitterer Ltd. was established in 2007 by Tony Fitterer. Tony had worked a number of years as a partner at Park & Braithwaite before deciding to start his own practice where he could continue to focus on what matters most – providing high quality services to each of his clients, while building long-lasting business relationships in the process.
With over 30 years of experience, Tony’s vision of creating a firm that focuses on client relationships, exceptional service and a client-first mentality came to fruition and has continued to grow since inception.

Anthony (Tony) Fitterer, CPA, CA

Tony graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Victoria in 1983. He then joined the firm of Touche Ross in Prince George in 1986 where he began working towards his Chartered Accountant (CA) designation. In 1989, Tony obtained his CA designation in Victoria BC. After obtaining his designation, Tony relocated to Nanaimo where he worked for Park & Braithwaite, becoming a Partner in 1992. In 2007, Tony incorporated ACM Fitterer Ltd. as a Sole Practitioner.
With 30 years of experience in public practice, Tony has obtained an extensive suite of knowledge in advisory, tax and consulting, which he utilizes in dealing with all types and sizes of businesses. In addition, he is well versed in personal taxes, personal tax planning, estates, corporate reorganizations, purchases and sales of businesses, and retirement planning.
Tony has always been an active member in the sports community of Nanaimo. He enjoys connecting with friends, family and his clients while playing soccer, golf and squash. In addition, he has maintained a seat on the Board of the Nanaimo Squash Club for 15 years.
Cathy Albert, CPA, CMA

Cathy graduated from BCIT in 1983 with a diploma in Hospitality Administration. After graduation, she worked for a small accounting firm in Richmond, BC. In 1990 she began working in Industry where she continued to further her accounting education at night school. Cathy achieved her designation as a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) in 1997 and has been with the firm since its inception. Cathy has experience in a number of sectors including: Hotel and Restaurants, Construction and Land Development, Software Development and Grocery. She enjoys meeting people and providing services to individuals and business clients.

Lisa graduated from Vancouver Island University with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree (Hons.) in 2014. After graduating, she articled at a firm in Victoria, BC while completing the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) Western School of Business program. She obtained her CPA designation in February 2018 and joined our firm in January 2019. Lisa provides a full range of professional accounting and income tax services to clients and enjoys working with small businesses and individuals. Outside of the office, Lisa enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as traveling.

Cody graduated from Cornell University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science from The Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management. After graduating, he articled at a firm in Victoria, BC while completing the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) Western School of Business program. He obtained his CPA designation in 2018 and joined our firm in October 2019. Cody provides a full range of professional accounting and income tax services to clients and enjoys working with small businesses and individuals. In his spare time Cody has been an active member of the Nanaimo sports community. He has played for several local teams including the Nanaimo Clippers Hockey Team and Nanaimo Timbermen Jr. and Sr. Lacrosse teams. In addition to competing locally, Cody played field lacrosse for the Cornell University Men’s program and box lacrosse in the National Lacrosse League for the Vancouver Stealth.

Trish joined our firm in 2017. After four years as our administrative assistant, Tricia moved into her new role as an accounting technician in 2021. Tricia enjoys assisting clients with their needs and providing bookkeeping services to our small business clients.
